  5. WHAT IS SPUD CITY TO-DO?
  6. Is it a new type of french fry? Perhaps a long-forgotten
  7. ragtime tune?

  9. No, it's a powerful to-do list manager that's very easy to
  10. understand and use. Other to-do programs tend to be so
  11. complex that they take months to learn, or are so basic that
  12. they lack important features. Spud City To-Do puts it all
  13. together in a design that everyone can use, beginners and
  14. power users alike.

  19. IS THIS A FREE PROGRAM?
  20. No. Spud City To-Do is distributed using the shareware
  21. method. That means youÆre free to try it for a month to see
  22. if you like it. If you decide to keep it beyond the trial
  23. period, send in your registration fee to us (Spud City
  24. Software), and weÆll mail you back your very own
  25. registration code. This will make you an official registered
  26. user. Join the club. Learn the secret handshake. Do the dance.

  29. WHAT IS ITS PRICE?
  30. It only costs $14.50 to register your copy of Spud City To-Do.
  31. If you want to register it AND receive the latest version on
  32. disk, send us a total of $19.50. ThatÆs a small price to pay
  33. for organizing your life and making you a better person.

  36. full details on how to pay. We accept checks, Visa, MasterCard,
  37. and you can also register via CompuServe's SWREG feature.

  40. HOW DO I INSTALL SPUD CITY TO-DO?
  41. 1. Create a subdirectory on your hard drive to contain the
  42.    Spud City To-Do files. Most users name it C:\TODO
  43.  
  44. 2. Copy all of the program files to your TODO subdirectory.

  46. 3. All done! YouÆre ready to run Spud City To-Do.

  49. I'VE GOT AN EARLIER VERSION, HOW DO I UPGRADE? WHAT'S THE COST?
  50. To upgrade follow the same instructions as shown in steps 2 and
  51. 3 above. If necessary, your old data files will be automatically
  52. converted to work with this new version. The upgrade for
  53. registered users from version 1.0 to 1.1 is free.

  61. - Speeded up the screen refresh when switching back and forth to
  62.   view current and archived tasks.
  63. - Reformatted the database fields to accurately sort records that
  64.   contain an alarm time.
  65. - In the Print setup screen, the date range fields now properly
  66.   reformat user-entered dates.
  67. - Fixed problem with the program 'blocking' some screen savers from
  68.   running, when it was minimized.
  69. - Added shortcut keys DEL and INSERT to mimic Done and Add commands,
  70.   respectively.
  71. - Eliminated problem of the program crashing if you added a new task
  72.   while viewing archives.
  73. - Added hot key links to all controls on the Add/Edit form.
  74. - Accommodated task due dates into and beyond the year 2000.
  75. - You can now use your left- and right-arrow keys to change the due
  76.   date for a highlighted task on the main screen. You can also do
  77.   this with your + and - keys.
  78. - Changed the method of creating repeating tasks. This adds a lot
  79.   more flexibility to the user.
  80. - Changed the tab order of the controls on the Add/Edit form. This
  81.   should make more sense. (By the way, if you're not using your
  82.   TAB key to move around the Add/Edit form, you're not living right.)
  83. - Added more flexibility when entering alarm times on the Add/Edit
  84.   form. For instance, you can enter 130p or 2p and Spud City To-Do
  85.   will know that you mean 1:30p and 2:00p, respectively. Also you can
  86.   now use a . instead of : when entering times.
  87. - Remove the annoying 'beep' that would occur if you pressed your
  88.   ENTER key while in a text box.
  89. - Aligned the due dates differently on the mail screen to improve
  90.   readibility.
  91. - Added the option to view only tasks that fall within a specified
  92.   date range. For instance, you can have the main screen show you all
  93.   your tasks that are due on or before 30 days from the current date,
  94.   and hide all the rest.
